Special coolers for large sample volumes of liquid media and vapors
Overview

The PE 20 special cooler is a sampling cooler specially developed for large sample quantities for liquid media and vapors with temperatures up to 400°C and pressures up to 268 bar.

  • for up to 250 l/h sample flow
  • Cooling capacity: approx. 120 kW

Advantages
  • Suitable for very large sample flows up to 250 l/h
  • Dimensioned for cooling enthalpy-rich vapors
  • Compact design due to inner and outer cooling coil

About Sampling Cooler
Product category
Components NPP

Dr. Thiedig has developed special components for the secondary circuit of nuclear power plants. This application requires high demands in terms of function, safety and tightness. Among other things, special sampling coolers, cation filters (pressure-resistant), bellows valves and pressure reducers have been developed for this purpose. All components can be manufactured in requirement level AS 3, some in AS 2.

Advantages:

  • special components for the primary circuit
  • high safety standards
  • Production in requirement level AS 3 (in some cases even AS 2)

Sampling cooler

High pressure sampling coolers from Dr. Thiedig are designed for use in sampling systems in power plants. Cooling under pressure was one of the pioneering VGB guidelines for analyzer systems in power plants. Dr. Thiedig has implemented this guideline in compact coolers with high cooling capacity for water or steam samples. The selected materials guarantee the required strength and corrosion resistance at high pressures and temperatures.

Advantages:

  • High cooling capacity due to cross-counterflow cooling principle
  • Optimum cooling water flow for good heat transfer
  • Highly corrosion-resistant cooling coils also for extreme temperatures and supercritical operating conditions
  • No chemical falsification of the sample due to the use of austenitic material
