The VD 50.44.60 high-pressure shut-off valve is a valve specially developed for NPP for liquid media and vapors with temperatures up to 400°C and pressures up to 268 bar.
The packing consists of several layers of graphite and is asbestos-free.
The stuffing box packing can be retightened during operation with the so-called stuffing box gland.
- Connections R1/2"
- kv value = 0, m3/h (m3/h at Δp = 1 bar)
- Designed for use in the primary circuit
- forged valve body
- quality material covering
- non-rotating valve stem (differential thread)
- Stuffing box glasses
Dr. Thiedig has developed special components for the secondary circuit of nuclear power plants. This application requires high demands in terms of function, safety and tightness. Among other things, special sampling coolers, cation filters (pressure-resistant), bellows valves and pressure reducers have been developed for this purpose. All components can be manufactured in requirement level AS 3, some in AS 2.
Advantages:
- special components for the primary circuit
- high safety standards
- Production in requirement level AS 3 (in some cases even AS 2)
Dr. Thiedig has many years of know-how in the development and manufacture of valves for extremely high pressures up to 1,000 bar. For extreme tightness requirements, we supply valves with bellows attachments, for example for use in nuclear power plants. The valves are also available in requirement level AS3.
