Automatically regenerating cation exchanger for maintenance-free operation

One of the most important parameters monitored in water-steam circuits is the acid conductivity. To determine this, classic cation exchangers have been used up to now before conductivity measurement. The disadvantage of this technology is the regular resin exchange and, if necessary, its regeneration. The state of the art today is the use of automatically regenerating cation exchangers based on the principle of electro-deionization, as in the CatControl edi.

In the CatControl edi a modified method of electro-deionization is used, where selectively only the cations are removed from a sample stream. This effect is made possible by the use of a special membrane that is permeable only to cations.With our CatControl edi, our customers have the opportunity to upgrade their existing measurement technology for acid and/or degassed acid conductivity to the latest technical standard.
