The VD 65 shut-off valve is designed as a shut-off valve on sampling equipment for the highest operating conditions.
It can be used for superheated steam up to 630°C at pressures up to 260 bar.
The cooling fin attachment causes cooling of the valve bonnet, as a result of which the temperature at the packing is approx. 200 K below that of the valve body.
The asbestos-free stuffing box packing consists of several layers of graphite and can be retightened during operation with the so-called stuffing box gland.
The stem thread is located above the packing gland and never comes into contact with the medium in case of leakage.

- also available in non-ferrous metal version
- non-rotating valve stem (differential thread)
- Stuffing box glasses
High pressure valves are manufactured in-house by Dr. Thiedig and are based on 60 years of know-how in the production of high pressure components.
Features:
- Forged valve bodies
- Wetted parts made of high-alloy stainless steels
- Material selection according to the operating conditions
- Differential spindle thread for high reliability and ease of operation (only little force required)
- non-rotating spindle for low wear and best closing behavior
- Special variants in nonferrous metal-free design
- with factory acceptance and material test certificates
