Sampling technique
High-performance, general-purpose shut-off valve with retractable stuffing box packing and differential threading
Overview

The high pressure shut-off valve type 50 is a universally applicable valve for liquid media and vapors at temperatures up to 400°C and pressures up to 268 bar.

The packing consists of several layers of graphite and is asbestos-free. (For certain applications also made of Teflon).

The stuffing box packing can be retightened during operation with the so-called stuffing box gland.

The stem thread is located above the packing gland and never comes into contact with the medium in case of leakage.

  • Connections R1/2" or SZ10 (other variants on request)
  • kv value = 0.48 m3/h (m3/h at Δp = 1 bar)

About Sampling Cooler
Product category
Components NPP

Dr. Thiedig has developed special components for the secondary circuit of nuclear power plants. This application requires high demands in terms of function, safety and tightness. Among other things, special sampling coolers, cation filters (pressure-resistant), bellows valves and pressure reducers have been developed for this purpose. All components can be manufactured in requirement level AS 3, some in AS 2.

Advantages:

  • special components for the primary circuit
  • high safety standards
  • Production in requirement level AS 3 (in some cases even AS 2)

Shut-off and blow-off valves

High pressure valves are manufactured in-house by Dr. Thiedig and are based on 60 years of know-how in the production of high pressure components.

Features:

  • Forged valve bodies
  • Wetted parts made of high-alloy stainless steels
  • Material selection according to the operating conditions
  • Differential spindle thread for high reliability and ease of operation (only little force required)
  • non-rotating spindle for low wear and best closing behavior
  • Special variants in nonferrous metal-free design
  • with factory acceptance and material test certificates
