The PE 14/Cat Control cation exchanger is designed for measuring the conductivity before and after the cation filter and thus enables the pH value to be determined in accordance with the VGB guideline.
A safety valve (3 bar opening pressure) protects the cation exchanger from overpressure. All parts exposed to acid are made of plastic/Plexiglass. An additional valve prevents the filter from running empty when the filter cartridges are replaced.
- integrated sensors for conductivity measurement before and after the cation filter (specific and cation conductivity measurement)
- 3 Measurements in one sample stream
- Largely maintenance-free
- easy and safe handling due to quick release couplings at inlet and outlet
- automatic calculation of the degree of exhaustion of the filter by the integrated flow measurement
- Bubble-free sample flow during start-up operation due to automatic venting
Cation filters "neutralize" the influence of alkalizing agents on the conductivity measurement in conditioned water/steam systems. The cation filters from Dr. Thiedig are a necessary addition to the Thiedig sampling system. Dr. Thiedig always uses regenerable exchanger resins with a color indicator. The color indicator shows the used zone of the cation filter and provides the operator with information about the remaining service life of the filter. The exchanger vessels of Dr. Thiedig's cation filters are easy to replace and allow the operator to maintain the system quickly and easily.
