To ensure a short startup phase, it is necessary to distinguish whether there is atmospheric leakage or cooling water leakage. For this purpose, it is necessary to remove the carbonic acid from the sample. The conductivity after CO2 degassing is now measured (degassed conductivity). If the conductance measured after degassing is below 0.2μS cm-1, only H+ and OH- according to the ion product of the water as well as slip-related anions are still present as charge carriers. This means that a hardness drop caused by the cooling water can be ruled out and the startup phase significantly shortened.
The Digox 602 dac is a universal measuring instrument. In a compact design, the specific conductivity and the cation conductivity are measured and the pH value is calculated - the "degassed conductivity" is displayed.
- Selective removal of CO2
(no unintentional removal of organic acids) - Measurement of degassed conductivity at ambient temperature
(no T-compensation for high temperatures necessary)
