Axial segment cooler
Overview
The axial segment cooler is used to hold up to two individual sample streams and cool them together in a compact stainless steel (1.4541) container.
Several axial segment coolers can be connected to each other and have cooled intermediate water flowing through them via a connection from the chiller unit. Here, too, the aim is to achieve the lowest possible degree of thermal distortion.
Advantages
- Modular design for applications with 2 sample streams and more
- low grading
- space saving design possible

About Sampling Cooler
Product category
Secondary cooling
Secondary cooling is used to control sample temperatures after cooling by high-pressure sampling coolers.
Such systems are used for high cooling water temperatures (from approx. 40°C) or when thermostatting to defined sample temperatures is required.
The secondary cooling system consists of the following main components:
- Chiller unit
- Axial segment cooler or isothermal bath
Advantages:
- Enables the use of sampling systems without high investment in the cooling water system
- Sample temperature control for protection of measuring instruments and omission of temperature compensation
- Wetted parts made of stainless steel 1.4571
